Teacher education degrees are designed to prepare graduates for careers in teaching. To be qualified to teach in Early Childhood centres, Primary and Secondary schools in Australia, students who have successfully completed year 12 or its equivalent, will need to complete a 4 year teacher education degree or its equivalent. Graduates of these degree programs are qualified to teach in government and non-government school systems both in Australia and overseas.
