Master of Education

The Master of Education degrees provide advanced training in educational theory and practice, which focus on the professional, ethical, moral and spiritual dimensions of education. The emphasis of each award is towards improving the professional competency of practising educators in independent and government schools.

There are four specialist options which include:

The Master of Education is offered as a two, three or four year part-time, or as a one-year full-time program. The MEd (Hons) is a three or four year part-time research degree, or an eighteen month full-time program.

Doctor of Philosophy

The Doctor of Philosophy degree is an advanced academic research degree. The purpose of the PhD is to facilitate the acquisition of advanced knowledge in research skills which can be used to serve academic, christian and wider communities.

The PhD is a course of supervised research and study leading to the submission of a thesis that makes a significant original contribution to knowledge. The contribution may be in the form of new knowledge per se, or be a significant and original adaptation and interpretation of existing knowledge.
