About TEACH

Mission Statement

To challenge, inform, and affirm Christian educators from various sectors (early childhood, primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors) in developing a sound theoretical base and excellence in practice as preparation for effective ministry.

Vision Statement

To enable learning communities and interested individuals to be empowered by passionate, reflective christian educators "telling their story", through shared experience, knowledge, and research.

Content & Scope

Articles and materials in TEACH fall into four general categories:

• Teaching and professional practice
  This section includes curriculum matters - arts, languages, maths, religious education. sciences, technology etc.; action research projects; resources; 'cameos' i.e. snapshots of effective and innovative classroom practice.
• Research and Scholarship
  A scholarly section that includes refereed / peer reviewed articles. (e.g. essays, philosophical papers, research reports and theses, issues of special interest)
• Educational Administration
  This section includes articles on school administration, organisational culture and climate, decision making.
• Reflections, impressions and experience
  This section includes book reviews, notices of, or reports on conferences; other matters of relevance or interest.

Publication

TEACH is an online, biannual journal published by Avondale Academic Press. The journal can be accessed at www.ministryofteaching.edu.au. Full text can be accessed online.
